Most of our trustees and core PTA members are employed, self employed or purusing full time activities outside of the PTA and school. We design tasks for all schedules—before school, lunch breaks, evenings, weekends.
The PTA is 100% volunteer led and comprised of volunteer Parents and Teachers.
Most tasks take 30 minutes and can be done from your phone or with a short local trip.
No. We’re just a changing mix of parents and carers who help when we can. Tasks are open to everyone, meetings are public (in person and on Zoom), and roles rotate so new faces are always welcome. Try a one-off job—no long-term commitment.
No. We’re just parents and carers helping the school community. Roles rotate, meetings are open, and no one is paid. The goal is simple: fund things that improve school life now and leave a positive legacy for the children at Boldmere School.
No. We plan to run events in normal British weather and only cancel for safety or supplier rules (e.g., fireworks). We’re volunteer-led and not-for-profit: ticket income goes back to the school to benefit the children. If we must cancel, we’ll follow the event T&Cs shared at checkout (usually postpone, transfer, or treat tickets as a donation). We’ll always publish a simple £-in/£-out update afterwards.
In most cases, no — not unless it directly benefits the PTA.
Our events are designed to raise funds for the school, not to provide free advertising or promotional opportunities. If a business presence (for example, a stall, activity, or demonstration) clearly supports the event and contributes financially — such as paying a stall fee, donating a percentage of sales, or providing a service that saves the PTA money — then we can consider it.
Any business involvement must meet the following conditions:
– It must provide a direct benefit to the PTA, either financially or through goods/services.
– It must not conflict with safeguarding, insurance, or school policies.
– It must be approved in advance by the PTA committee.
If you’re unsure whether your idea fits, please contact the PTA and we’ll be happy to discuss what’s possible.
