Our PTA events are at the heart of school life — fun, memorable, and open to everyone. We run seasonal favourites such as Fireworks Night, the Christmas Fair, Elfridges Gift Shop, Summer Fair, and the School Disco, along with smaller events throughout the year.
These events create brilliant experiences for families and raise essential funds for the school. They also offer parents and carers a chance to get involved, meet others, and feel part of the community.
How Our Events Are Organised
Running a PTA event is a team effort. Every event follows a clear and structured process:
1. Planning & Preparation
We work closely with the school to confirm dates, spaces, logistics, and health and safety requirements. Volunteers help with:
- Planning activities and stalls
- Setting up equipment
- Managing tickets and promotions
- Sourcing suppliers or donations
2. Safety & Risk Assessment
Safety is central to everything we do.
Where appropriate, event leads take part in completing their event’s risk assessment, with final checks and approvals completed by the PTA Committee and the school.
3. Event Delivery
On the day, volunteers help with:
- Setting up and packing away
- Stewarding and visitor flow
- Managing stalls
- Supporting children and families
- Ensuring the event runs smoothly
Every role matters — even giving one hour makes a difference.
4. Review & Improve
After each event, we gather feedback from volunteers, families, and staff. This helps us improve planning, identify opportunities, and make events even better next time.
