About Elfridges – Our Three-Season Children’s Gift Shop
Elfridges is one of our most loved PTA traditions, running three times every year at Christmas, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day. It’s a fun, child-friendly gift shop hosted safely on school premises, where children can choose affordable presents for the special people in their lives.
The magic of Elfridges is that it gives children the chance to experience the joy of giving. They browse a selection of thoughtful gifts, pay at the mini checkout, and then have their items wrapped by our Elfridges Elves so everything stays a complete surprise at home.
Each event is run by volunteers, and every purchase helps raise valuable funds for the school while giving the children a sense of independence, excitement, and pride.
How Elfridges Works
- Order online in advance – See our bookings page
Parents and carers choose how many gifts they’d like their child to buy (for example: mum, dad, grandparents, siblings, carers, friends) and pay securely online. - We set up the Elfridges shop in school
The PTA transforms a space on school premises into a magical Christmas gift shop, stocked with a range of fun, age-appropriate gifts for all family members. - Children visit the shop during the school day
During a timetabled slot, children are safely escorted by staff and PTA volunteers from their classroom to the Elfridges shop and back again. - They choose and wrap their gifts
With a little help from the Elfridges Elves, each child chooses gifts from the selection available and has them wrapped and labelled ready to take home. - Surprise presents under the tree
Children take their bag of wrapped gifts home, ready to surprise their loved ones at Christmas.

Elfridges – Our Mother’s Day Gift Boutique 💐
Elfridges returns for Mother’s Day, giving children the chance to choose a thoughtful surprise for someone special – whether that’s Mum, Grandma or another important grown-up in their life.
Every gift is beautifully wrapped by the Elfridges Elves (a.k.a. your friendly PTA volunteers!), ready to take home and hide until the big day.
It’s a heart-warming way for children to celebrate the joy of giving, while supporting the school at the same time.
Elfridges – Our Legendary Father’s Day Gift Hub👑
Elfridges pops up again for Father’s Day, helping children choose a fun and thoughtful surprise for Dad, Grandad or someone special.
With help from the Elfridges Elves (our friendly PTA volunteers!), each gift is carefully wrapped and ready to take home as a secret surprise.
It’s a lovely opportunity for children to show their appreciation, while supporting the school at the same time.

Elfridges transforms the school into a magical Christmas gift shop, where children can choose secret surprises for their loved ones.
Every gift is beautifully wrapped by the Elfridges Elves (your friendly PTA volunteers!), ready to pop under the tree.
It’s a festive and joyful way for children to experience the magic of giving, while supporting the school at the same time.
Safety & Supervision
We know that safety and safeguarding are a top priority for families – they are for us too.
- Elfridges takes place entirely on school premises.
- Children are always accompanied by school staff and PTA volunteers.
- Classes are brought to the shop in small groups at allocated times.
- All volunteers helping in the shop are known to school and follow school safeguarding procedures.
Your child is never off-site and is fully supervised from classroom to shop and back again.
What Kind of Gifts Are Available?
We carefully choose a mix of fun, affordable gifts suitable for:
- Parents and carers
- Grandparents
- Brothers and sisters
- Other special people in your child’s life
Think cosy, cute and Christmassy: little treats, practical bits and fun novelties that children love to give – and grown-ups genuinely enjoy receiving.
Our aim is to make it easy for children to feel proud of the presents they’ve chosen, without putting pressure on family budgets.
Why Children Love Elfridges

How Parents Can Get Involved

- Send them in on the day as normal – we’ll take care of the rest!
- If you’re able, you can also volunteer as an Elfridges Elf to help with gift choices, wrapping and keeping the magic going.
